I have been playing the piano since the age of 8 for around 17 years and am 25 now. I learned on a real, upright piano. I can honestly say as a musician that is classically trained and that was taught on a real piano that this keyboard has excellent sound for the price. The keys are semiweighted which means they have a decent amount of sensitivity to the touch. Playing the most advanced classical music and making it sound amazing is completely possible with this keyboard. The recording quality is poor hear because I am using my computer's internal micophone. There are inputs you can plug into speakers as big as you want to light up an entire street. I haven't done this, although neighbors have heard me playing Bach and Chopin a good distance away. You can also buy a cheap 10 dollar sustain pedal from Amazon like I did to sustain the notes on this keyboard when you play. Don't be fooled- it is certainly possible to learn to play the piano on this keyboard. It is not ideal and is always better to learn on a real piano, but music is music! If one doesn't have to space or the funds to get a real piano or wants something quieter that they can plug headphones into, this is the keyboard to get! Also, no joke, semiweighted does not mean worse sound! I have heard expensive Yamahas that have a more muffled sound than this keyboard. The sound is crisp and precise on this keyboard and actually sounds like a real piano. And for the price, you won't be disappointed. If you are looking for a keyboard around half the price of expensive keyboards with comparable sound, this is the piano for you!I want to add on a side note and reiterate that the recording quality when I do a ten minute Sorabji and Chopin Improvisation here is very poor. I am thinking about buying a cheap microphone on Amazon soon. If you all heard me play in real life you would be a lot more amazed at the excellent quality sound this keyboard has to offer.Be well and God bless you all.
